NTUNGAMO district chairman John Karazaarwe was on Thursday nominated to contest for LC5 chairmanship in what many believe was the most modest manner of all the aspiring candidates in western region.
Karazaarwe reached the district council hall, where the nominations were conducted, in one car accompanied by Asanasio Kampororo, who proposed him and Polly Mugabiirwe, who seconded him.
By 10.00am. the returning officer, Mr. Topher Nshemeza, had declared Karazaarwe duly nominated. Karazaarwe later told The New Vision that he has always been a humble person and that people of Ntungamo would vote for him basing on his good deeds and not the big processions at nomination. “The money which I would have used to hire cars and moving discos will be used to boost up mobilisation,†he said.
