UECDL advises customers on power use

Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited (UEDCL) has advised its clients to limit the use of electric gadgets used in homes in order to cut power expenses.

By Nicholas Kajoba Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited (UEDCL) has advised its clients to limit the use of electric gadgets used in homes in order to cut power expenses. UEDCL acting customer awareness officer Lillian Nkwenge said this during a sensitisation seminar on Saturday in Mukono. UEDCL is on a countrywide sensitisation programme on energy efficiency in homes. Nkwenge said some clients were tampering with their metres to reverse the readings so as to cut the power charges. He advised them to desist from such acts.
