Mbarara mayor's family in accident

Muhanga THIRTEEN members of the family of Mbarara Municipality mayor Robert Rutehenda were seriously injured on Christmas eve when their vehicle, a pickup truck No. UAA 408H, overturned at Kashongi, about 40 kilometres from Mbarara town. They were all admitted to Mbarara teaching hospital in critical condition. The Police said the accident occurred at 3.30 pm while the family was coming back to Mbarara after visiting relatives in Kashongi. The head of traffic at Mbarara Police Station, Sgt. John Mawa, said the accident was caused by overspeeding.
