Mbale girl abandoned in town lodge

By Nasur Wambedde A man only identified as sheriff, abandoned a girl in a lodge and took off when the girl lost consciousness in the room he had hired. This incident happened on Idd Day at new Aswan Lodge in Mbale town. A receptionist at the lodge said she saw Sheriff frantically walking out of the room and was forced to go and check what was happening. “I was surprised to find a girl lying naked in the room. To crown it all, she was not breathing,” said the receptionist who attracted other customers who thought the girl had been killed. The girl said she did not know what had happened to her. However, she started crying when she discovered that Sheriff had not left her any money. She was later given sh1000 by a receptionist after people started gathering at the scene and asking embarrassing questions.
