Black Rhino of Lira will represent northern region in the 2001 Nile Special Premier soccer league after emerging best at Apac grounds, reports Denis Ojwee in Apac. The northern region promotional super mini league that ended over the weekend, saw Rhino top the competition with 10 points overall. Kole FC of Apac was runners-up with seven points followed by Arua Young Stars. There were five teams in the competition. Apac's Adota FC were fourth with three points and Adjumani trailed with a point. Gulu United did not surface for the tournament because of administrative and financial problems. Gulu team manager Tony Kiberu said they would not afford participation fees of sh150,000. Ends.
