By Ronald Nakabaale A crazy man in Lukuli last week stunned neighbours when he killed his dog, reportedly for crossing the boundary into his neighbour's yard. According to residents of the area, the man, Sserunjogi, holds a grudge against his neighbour, Lyazi. Sserunjogi suspects Lyazi of having an affair with his wife. Sserunjogi, who had seen his dog following Lyazi home on his motor bike over time, returned home earlier than usual on that fateful day. On arriving home he discovered that the dog had been spending the whole of every day at his neighbour's house and had become more loyal to Lyazi than it was to him. Seeing the dog in the court yard of his neighbour's property, Sserunjogi fell into a frenzy and immediately called the dog to him. He tied the dog up and hung it from a mango tree. He reportedly whipped the dog senseless, raising cheers from the children of the neighbourhood. Sserunjogi then hit the dog on the head with a hoe killing it instantly. In a strange twist to the story, Sserunjogi buried the dog on the boundary between his house and the home of Lyazi. Ends.
