KKL baseball kings crowned

By Vision Reporter KAMPALA Kids League (KKL) baseball season came to a colourful end Saturday at Rainbow International School, Kansanga with awards to all 16 teams. Before the baseball awards, the triumphant KKL soccer team that won the Egyptian U-14 international Friendship Cup was paraded and they officially presented the trophy to KKL major sponsor Stanbic Bank chief executive Peter Oliver. Junior league champions Sheraton, mids-league best Citibank and seniors-league winners Africa Online were awarded trophies on top of medals, certificates and team photos. Infocom, Alam, WW Movers, KB Enterprises, UTB, Shell, Blitz Video, AON Insurance, Goldstar, Little Rascal, NCR, Barclays and Kiwi were the other teams in the three divisions of the baseball league. It was the closest ever finish to a KKL season. After regular games, five teams were locked together at the top of the junior and mids leagues, before winners were known last Tuesday. Ends.
