BUGANDA ROAD - An official in the ministry of foreign affairs, accused of threatening to kill a banker, has been charged with threatening violence. Johnson Omonyakol Akol, 37, an economist with the ministry, denied the charges. It is alleged that Omonyakol threatened to kill Elizabeth Balinda, of Standard Chartered bank after she refused to go with him for dinner. Omonyakol allegedly committed the offence on November 17.
