By Samson Opus POWERHOUSE Lukanga boxing club has its sights set on a sixth national inter-mediates boxing championship title. The defending champions who were kept at bay as the tournament opened Monday strongly fought back to lead with eight points as the event entered quarter final stage at Lugogo Indoor Stadium late yesterday afternoon. Kampala Boxing Club (KBC) who had earlier caused a scare for Lukanga fell back to third position with five points, one behind Najja and Makindye. The two clubs were joint second with six points. Scorpions, Lufula, Hima, Police and Kakira shared four points. Lightweight Solomon Bogere of Lukanga was a class as he out-punched Paul Kafeero (Lufula) clear in the day. Abdu Sebbi (Serwadda) registered the day's knockout in another thrilling lightweight contest against Kakira's Godfrey Tabu. In light welterweight Chedrick Mukasa maintained winning streak Lukanga's after a round two stoppage against Adam Muzil (Wobulenzi). Results: Featherweight- J. Kabajo (Lufula) bt Z.
