 Sekajja, Tabula enter team camp tomorrow By Peter Ekarot FUFA has called up professionals Suleiman Tenywa and Livingstone Mbabazi for the Cranes African Nations Cup qualifier against Senegal January 13. FUFA secretary Godfrey Kisekka told The New Vision yesterday that he sent invitations to Tenywa, who plays for US side Pennsylvania FC, and Mbabazi, based in Ireland with St. Patrick's Athletic FC. "I sent Tenywa an invitation on December 22 and I've been talking to Mbabazi, his agent and the club on phone," Kisekka said. "I expect affirmative response soon." Defender Tenywa, who last played for the Cranes in 1998, moved to Pennysylvania in the close season after starring for the Chicago Fire last term. Mbabazi joined St Patrick's earlier this month after a two-month trial in Ireland. Meanwhile, Uganda's Argentina-based defensive duo of Abubaker Tabula and Ibrahim Sekajja join the rest of the national team tomorrow when training resumes at Nakivubo. They will move into residential training in Jinja January 2. The two professionals, who signed deals with first division side Los Andes, arrived in the country last Wednesday. Cranes manager Sam Kabugo said: "All the players are expected for training Thursday at Nakivubo. The squad would be trimmed after the other two professionals (Tenywa and Mbabazi) confirm their arrivals." The Nations Cup game will be played at Nakivubo, sponsored by Euromarkint, Nile Special, Parmalat Spa and Robe Di Kappa. Senegal, who have called up over 18 professionals, are currently training in France. Ends.
