UNISE launches

THE Uganda National Institute of Special Education (UNISE) has launched an external programme to train teachers in special needs education.

By Anthony Mugeere THE Uganda National Institute of Special Education (UNISE) has launched an external programme to train teachers in special needs education. The programme launched at the Institute campus in Kyambogo recently brings the number of courses offered by the nine-year-old institution to eight. The others include a postgraduate diploma in community-based rehabilitation, a bachelors degree in special needs education and a diploma in special needs education. The function was presided over by Betty Akech, the state minister for higher education, on behalf of Dr. Khiddu Makubuya, the Education and Sports Minister. Ends.
