SINGER Nubian Li, who is part of Bobi Wine’s Fire Base Crew, is finally graduating from renting and becoming a landlord. Last week the singer revealed that he had acquired a large bungalow in an upscale neighbourhood of Ntinda, Kampala, for sh70m - fully paid.
This comes just two weeks after singer Buchaman bitterly quit Fire Base complaining that he had been exploited for the past 10 years he has been a member of the group while team leader, Bobi Wine, amassed wealth for himself.
Nubian Li, who was last week named the vice president of Fire Base (replacing Buchaman), says he bought the house from his savings accumulated off his earnings as a member of Fire Base.
However, there are contradicting rumours that the house was actually bought by Bobi Wine and given to him as a way of forestalling another Buchaman-like defection!
