NO more cigarette butts, no more empty beer bottles on the floor; no socks or carelessly dumped boxers for that matter.” We have it on good authority that these are some of the rules, Lillian Mbabazi of BLU*3 has set for Gudlyfe’s Mowzey Radio after she moved to their Neverland ranch in Makindye.

Lillian recently gave birth to a son, fathered by the silky voiced Mowzey. Mowzey had rented another house for her in the neighbourhood, but she refused the offer. Other Neverland residents told snoops that she is determined to turn Mowzey into a responsible husband and father.

We used to hear that singer Jose Chameleone charges musicians before they can do collaborations with him. Snoops heard him bragging that Gen. Elly Tumwine asked to do a collaboration with him recently and he asked the general to pay sh10m. When confronted about it, Chameleone said the only person he can do a free collaboration with is President Yoweri Museveni.

The show of the self-styled champions of music in Uganda, Bobi Wine and Jose Chameleone at Collins Hotel last Saturday was almost ruined as they and the promoter spent most of the evening looking for money to pay for the sound system. The show was meant to start at 7:00pm, but by 10:00pm, the ‘champions’ had not raised the balance. They begged the management of the hotel, which had retained the gate collections, to rescue them, in vain. So, the owner of sound equipment, Gerald Luyima, ordered the DJ to switch it off. Fans rioted, fearing the worst, management paid Luyima the sh1.6m balance and then called the Police. The show was redeemed 20 minutes before midnight. Instead of singing, the ‘champions’ went into their usual comedy. Soon after the Police dispersed the crowd.
