Uganda has another Michael Ezra; wealthy, generous, showy and as mysterious as his source of income. That man is Meddie Ssentongo. He recently bought Ezra’s customised E1 Mercedes Benz and re-registered it with a personalised number plate, MEDDIE 10. But that is not the story. Last Saturday, Ssentongo called Chameleone to Quality Supermarket, Lubowa and donated to him a BMW convertible, valued at about sh75m, with its card and keys. Two years ago, the two clashed over a woman at Club Silk and a furious Ssentongo jumped into his car and tried to run over Chameleone, who escaped with injuries for which he was admitted to Kololo Hospital. Meddie said the car was to ask for forgiveness for his 2009 childish actions and to thank Chameleone, because his song Nekolela Maali, inspired him to work hard. But snoops think there could be more than meets the eye. What were the two former foes discussing at Ange Noir’s Guvnor for a long time before Chameleone’s kanyamas drove the Beemer off to Club Silk and removed the MEDDIE 3 number plate?

Promoter Balaam of Balaam Enterprises has pulled off many successful shows. Now, singer Bebe Cool, who fell out with Balaam several years back, has been sending emissaries to beg Balaam for forgiveness and reconsider promoting him too. Bebe Cool fell out with Balaam because he started promoting his nemesis; Bobi Wine. But Balaam says he was fed up with Bebe Cool’s skipping shows.
