As I sat down, staring in anticipation, I saw a young man coming towards me. I suspected he was my date because I had seen a waitress show him where I was.
I stood up to welcome him and he did not waste time but gave me a hug. He found me taking Smirnoff and he also ordered for a drink. He talked very nicely and had a deep voice, which I found impressive.
I told him I had a boyfriend, but never trusted him and he told me he had separated with his girlfriend. He suggested that I become his lover.
What was your reaction, did you accept?
I told him I could consider his proposal, but I needed more time. The more we met and talked, the more we would be able to fall for each other.
Did he meet your expectations?
He was really nice and attractive. I liked the way he was dressed.
Have you called him since then?
I want him to call first. I do not want him to feel that I have fallen for him. I want him to first chase after me. I would then gauge how serious he was.

As I prepared for mystery date, I was told I would meet the girl at Choma Restaurant. However, the more I thought about the stranger, the more I got anxious. When I reached the place, I could not locate her until I inquired from the reception.
I was excited to meet her. I stretched out to hug her and she did not hesitate, which was a good staring point for me. She said she never had a boyfriend and I told her I also had separated with my girlfriend six months back.
Did your trick of the hug work?
It actually worked because from that, we developed rapport and talked freely.
Were you impressed?
Yes. She is a beautiful, humble and intelligent girl. However, she was shy during our conversation.
Did you express your interest?
Of course I did and she told me she found I was a nice person. She said she had fallen for me, but needed to give it time.
So you were excited…
Well, for some reason, I felt it was too early for her to accept my proposal. I kept thinking she was pretending because I do not expect a girl to just accept on the first date.
Do you hope to meet again?
I am praying that we get more time to meet. I lost my former girlfriend because I was too busy to meet her needs.
