Buganda 'activists' intention is suspect

EDITOR: I am concerned about the so-called Buganda activists. In the past I was siding with them. To my disappointment, and I am sure I am not alone, many more Ugandans are asking themselves what Buganda activism is all about.

These people are self-centred politicians who are using Mengo as their platform to achieve their own political agendas. There are people like Betty Nambooze, Medard Segona, Matiya Bwanika, Semujju Nganda, Moses Kasibante and Erias Lukwago who are trouble causers.

If they stand for Buganda interests, why are they pursuing different political positions? We have recently seen Suubi, a political pressure group which is a brain-child of these people.

Why didn't they support Beti Kamya during the presidential elections and instead ganged up with Kizza Besigye when Kamya had the catchword—federo, which Mengo has always agitated for?
