THE basketball fraternity has been thrown into shock by the death of Matthew Kayonde who died while playing. He was featuring for Rhino basketball club in the national league.

THE basketball fraternity has been thrown into shock by the death of Matthew Kayonde who died while playing. He was featuring for Rhino basketball club in the national league.
“He died while playing for former Budonians against the current students in a friendly game on Tuesday evening when a teammate passed him the ball and it hit his chest,†said FUBA vice president, Bob Buga.
“He then collapsed and died on the way to hospital.â€
Kayonde was a first year student at Makerere University offering Telecom Engineering.
