LOCAL actor and CBS FM presenter Abbey Mukiibi last Thursday at Bat Valley proved that he could get physical if need be, when he nearly wrestled with an unidentified drunken fellow over parking space.

It all started at around 10:30pm during Maureen Nantume’s performance at the Red Nite Pub inside Bat Valley Theatre, when a drunken fellow arrived with a group of about four men all holding beer bottles.

They parked right behind a space Mukiibi claimed was ‘reserved’ parking for the theatre management. The fellows were advised by Mukiibi to look for another space somewhere else but the owner of the Toyota Ipsum, who was visibly tipsy, could not hear of it.

An exchange of words ensued between the famous actor and the drunken fellow. The actor nearly reached out for the fellow’s neck when the latter told him that he (Mukiibi) is a broke guy who depends on acting.

He, however, calmed himself down and said it would be foolhardy to argue with an inebriated fellow. Luckily, the fellow’s buddies advised him to leave.

Well, if it was not for the presence of paparazzi, Mukiibi bragged afterwards, that fellow would have had a different story to tell altogether.
