FORUM for Democratic Change’s top organ will today begin a two-day closed meeting to discuss party issues, including the question of succession in the party.

FORUM for Democratic Change’s top organ will today begin a two-day closed meeting to discuss party issues, including the question of succession in the party.

The national executive committee will also assess the party’s performance in the general elections.

The party spokesperson, Wafula Oguttu, said the two-day meeting will be chaired by the party president, Kizza Besigye, starts today at a venue yet to be disclosed.

The committee comprises the party chairman, regional party presidents, MPs, district chairpersons and executive committee members.

Besigye only managed to garner 26% of the total votes cast. The party lost in its strongholds of the north and West Nile regions.
