Buna draw URA in Uganda Cup

URA FC will preserve their hopes of winning a double this season if they successfully negotiate their way past league champions Bunamwaya in the Bell Uganda Cup quarter-finals.

URA FC will preserve their hopes of winning a double this season if they successfully negotiate their way past league champions Bunamwaya in the Bell Uganda Cup quarter-finals.

The two will face off at Kitende stadium on April 23 following the draw that was made at the FUFA headquarters in Mengo yesterday. “We knew we would meet any of the eight teams in the quarterfinal. URA is one of them. It is not an easy fixture but our focus is to win the Cup,” Bunamwaya secretary Haruna Kyobe, who attended the draws, said shortly after.

The Uganda Cup final is on July 11 and the winner will walk away with sh12m.

Bell Brand Manager Dianah Nsubuga, said, “We are pleased with the competitive element teams have exhibited throughout the tournament.”

Express FC will meet first division side Jinja Arsenal as Cup holders Victors face either Proline or Baza.
