Nsubuga, Baako win ISU family run

FORMER national athlete Moses Nsubuga clocked 34 minutes,13 seconds to win the annual Stanbic/ISU Family Charity Run, as Roofings stamped their authority in the corporate category with a third consecutive victory at Lubowa.

FORMER national athlete Moses Nsubuga clocked 34 minutes,13 seconds to win the annual Stanbic/ISU Family Charity Run, as Roofings stamped their authority in the corporate category with a third consecutive victory at Lubowa.

Nsubuga beat a field of 280 runners in the 10km event while Joyce Baako was the first lady to cross the finish line in the morning race that raised close to sh40m.

Norah Zalwango and Kevin Wahooli were the best runners in the U-14 category while Jennifer Norman and Eric Obbo won in the 40-49 age category.

Proceeds fron the run will be channeled to disadvantaged communities including Care group, The Kids League, Aarlington Academy of Hope in Bududa, ISU Scholarship Fund and Wrap up Africa, among others.

The event that attracted 470 runners was sponsored by MTN, Stanbic Bank, Roofings, AON, Coca-Cola, Roko and The New Vision.
