Seven held over electoral offences

The accused included Erisa Nkoyoyo, Goma division LC3 chairperson-elect, Robinah Namakula, Goma divisioncouncillor-elect and Lukeman Sseggayi, the Goma division district councillor.
They were charged with assaulting Godfrey Gwayambadde (NRM) on March, 15. Others were Steven Sikyomu, Henry Kayira and Ezra Kizito, charged with vandalizing a Police vehicle.
The LC3 chairperson-elect for Ntejeru sub-county, Vivian Kagoya was also charged with assaulting Robinson Kiyaga (NRM) the councillor for Ntenjeru sub-county on March 07.
All the accused denied the allegations and were granted sh500,000 bail, not cash. They are expected to return to court on May, 5.
