Clerics issue guide for Way of the Cross

RELIGIOUS leaders have issued guidelines for the public Way of the Cross match due today, Good Friday.

RELIGIOUS leaders have issued guidelines for the public Way of the Cross match due today, Good Friday.

Christians will march from different parts of the city and converge at Nakivubo Stadium for a joint mass.

The Archbishop of the Orthodox Church, Jonah Lwanga, who is also the chairperson of the Uganda Joint Christian Council, on Thursday said Christians living in the eastern part of Kampala will meet at Mbuya Catholic Church, St Jude Church and St Peter’s, while those from the city centre will converge at All Saints’ Church and Christ the King Church.

Those living in the northern part of the city will set off from Mulago Catholic Parish, Makerere Freedom Square and Mulago Hospital chaplaincy.

Those from the western part of the city will meet at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, Namirembe Cathedral and at Rubaga Cathedral.

Christians from the southern parts will converge at Nsambya Parish and Uganda Martyrs’ Church of Uganda.
