Joel Isabirye, the deputy general manager/programme controller, Capital FM and Beat FM is now a professor.

Isabirye, who holds a PhD in broadcasting from an online university, was last week appointed Professor of Broadcasting at Mississippi State
University in America.

In an email he sent out to buddies mid this week, Joel said he was quitting the Kisementi-based station where
he has worked for the last seven years, to three concurrent new positions in broadcasting: General Manager Dembe FM 90.4 effective April 20; Professor of Broadcasting, Department of Communication
Mississippi State University effective August 1 and Radio Consultant, servicing radio
stations in Kenya and Tanzania effective April 20. Now that is what is called a leap!
