HE'S not outspoken and you could easily bypass him on the street as another ordinary citizen, but behind this ordinary personality is a great talent which cannot simply be ignored. MOZ- B aka Moses Bukenya is a music producer whose repertoire is not only extensive but rich in achievement.

The soft spoken beat master has lent his creative skills to hit songs like Usiende by Juliana Kanyomozi and Bushoke from Tanzania; Kanyimbe by Juliana Kanyomozi; Gwoyagala by Rabadaba and Jackie Chandiru; Fly by Blu 3 and Ndibeera Nawe by Blu 3 and Chagga (remix); and many more to date.

But his accomplishments have not come easy. Although he grew up from a musical background, he had to get formal training from Esom Studio where he learnt the techniques of music production.

But it was his association with producers like Allan Okia, Henry Kiwuwa and Steve Jean that moulded his career as a music producer. Here — especially from Steve Jean — he learnt his biggest lessons in music production: patience, hard work and perfection.

He was also exposed to a number of artistes — some up-coming and others already established — with whom he worked on various projects.

Today, MOZ-B, who plays all musical instruments, is standing tall with his own record company which is under a bigger project he runs called Hi-tek Entertainments.

The project has other elements like video shooting, editing and youth outreach programmes. The artiste also speaks of launching a live act band which will be performing at venues around town. It will also be a platform for nurturing young talent.

“I believe a band has a lot of influence on a recording artiste because he is able to train his vocals and also learn how to play musical instruments,” he notes.

With such achievements so far, only the sky is the limit for this youthful record producer.
