Are you married?
No. I am not married, but I am engaged to someone. I already have a child with him.
How did you meet him?
I met him at my friend’s birthday party.
We did not have a long chat, but after some days, he came with my cousin to my hostel in Kyambogo. That’s when he asked me to be his lover.
Why did you accept him?
He was handsome, caring and intelligent.
Was he the first person to ask for your hand in love?
I had another boyfriend, but he was living abroad.
So why did you abandon your boyfriend and go with this one?
His approach proved to me that he had really fallen for me. He was patient and would accompany me to internet cafes whenever I wanted to communicate to my boyfriend. However, we dated for three years before I fully gave in. My boyfriend also had weaknesses that I realised I could not put up with.

He never respected me and I suspected he was cheating on me with a politician. He had lied to me that she was a relative, but I later discovered they were lovers. He also had another girlfriend in the US.

The girl called me and told me to leave her boyfriend alone. She told me she was expecting his child.

I did not tell him. I just rejected the things he had sent me and cut off communication. I changed my phone number and when he got it and called me, I told him I was no longer interested in the relationship.
I assured him I was already pregnant with somebody else’s child.
