THE Madhvani Group of Companies has lost a senior director, Manubhai M. Madhvani who passed away in London Monday morning.
THE Madhvani Group of Companies has lost a senior director, Manubhai M. Madhvani.
Manubhai, who has also been one of the three joint managing directors for Kakira Sugar Ltd, Uganda’s largest sugar factory, passed away in London Monday morning following a brief illness, the company said in a statement.
He died at the age of 81. Manubhai grew up in Uganda and in 2008 wrote a book titled ‘Tide of Fortune’, which spoke about the history of Asians in East Africa, the family business and his own experiences.
He committed all proceeds from the book sales to charity.
The Madhvani Group of Companies is one of the largest conglomerates in Uganda.
