Today, the Chief Justice Benjamin Odoki will preside over the election of a new speaker for the House at Parliament chambers.
The ninth Parliament will have 375 MPs. Only one MP-elect Rosemary Najjemba (Gomba) was not sworn because she had travelled out of the country.
The Clerk to Parliament, Aeneas Tandekwire, presided over the function held at the steps of the Northern wing of the Parliamentary buildings.
