Ernesto and Veronica have a master plan to destroy any feelings between Pablo and Gabriella. Veronica knows who Pablo is, but does not tell Ernesto. He has been wondering about where Pablo got the money that he gave to Guillermo, Gabriella’s father to clear his debt. Meanwhile, when Pablo’s father convinces him not to quit, Ernesto is determined to make him work so hard that he can quit. Pablo is made to load trucks all day, but he won’t quit. Guillermo leaves his evil girlfriend who has been telling him to grab the house from Gabriella’s mother. With the help of Ernesto, he also gets a job at the plant where Gabriella works. Ernesto believes that Gabriella will grow to love him if he continues doing favours for her. He even gets Gabriella into a skating competition in their town.

Rocio wakes up from her coma, but she is disfigured. Juan Miguel refuses to give her a mirror to see what she looks like.
