Traffic police officers have faced a rough time today during one of their operations against the defiant taxi drivers at Shoprite along Entebbe road.

During this operation close to 30 taxis were impounded and passengers ordered out after the conductors were found not to be having the required sanitizers.

This angered the passengers leading to a bitter verbal exchange with the traffic officers who insisted that they had to get out of the taxi.

The passenger's argument was that it was wrong for police to impound taxis which were found to have water and soap yet these two items have always been encouraged by the president as strong pillars in the fight against COVID19 once used well.

The traffic police officer who led this operation, James Ssekandi insisted that every taxi must have the recommended  sanitizer not just water and soap warning that more taxis are yet to be impounded.

This taxi had the appropriate sanitiser.
