Perhaps many city tycoons at the ceremony at this hostel, which hosts affluent students at Makerere University, knew that the famous Nana was changing hands from Tom Kaya of Kaki Investments to Kikuubo-based businessman, Hajji Kiyemba, a member of the Kwagalana Group of city tycoons.

Kaya owns over 100 minibus taxis and a number of properties around town, including a money lending company, a motor garage, spare parts business and petrol stations.
