Pineapple, pumpkin prices drop

PINEAPPLES <br>The price of pineapples goes down per every pineapple sale. The pineapple stalls which once stood empty are being stocked because the pineapple harvest season has started.

The price of pineapples goes down per every pineapple sale. The pineapple stalls which once stood empty are being stocked because the pineapple harvest season has started.
In open markets within Kampala city, a pineapple that previously cost sh3,500 now costs about sh2,500. One that cost sh2,500 now goes for about sh1,500.
It is possible to get a pineapple at sh800.


Pumpkins
It is the start of the harvest season for pumpkins and there is already a slight increase in supply, causing the prices to go down.
The extra-large pumpkin that previously cost sh4,000 now goes for sh6,000. Prices of the pumpkins have dropped to as low as sh2500.

MILK
The price of milk has gone down by sh200 in Kampala markets. The litre of milk that had over the past months hit sh1,200 mark is down . By early June, in Kibuye, Nakasero, Kalerwe, Owino and Nakawa market, one can now get a litre of fresh milk at any dairy shop at sh1,000.
