She wants Marichuy to tell the judge about the rape. She offers Marichuy a lot of money, which she turns down although she agrees to testify. In court, Juan Miguel is convinced Marichuy can’t hate him enough to want his daughter taken away. She still testifies and denies that Juan Miguel raped her.
Meanwhile, Maita sees her mother Vivian again and goes up to her car before she can drive away. Vivian tells Maita that Juan Miguel hated her and chased her away. She tells her daughter that her father is evil. She says she will come back for her once she defeats Juan Miguel.
The poor girl believes her mother. Candeleria collapses from exhaustion and is rushed to hospital.
