IT was all fun and pomp at the Hi Skool Kadanke, launched last Saturday at St. Mary’s Kitende S S. It kicked off at 10:00am and ended at 7:00pm after 12 entertainment activities.

Billed as first of its kind in secondary schools, Hi Skool Kandake is a grand social event that involves various entertainment activities in Ugandan schools. Students register with their entertainment ministers and later participate in various activities sugar-iced by music performances by established artistes.

The most entertaining activities at the launch were creative dance, Swagga fashion and modeling and the reading challenge. For the reading challenge, students competed in reading a select story from newspaper pullouts in different languages which included: Jamaican patios; American English as well as various African ethnic accents from northern Ugandan and Nigeria.

The show ended with a mass disco dance as the DJ played Ashawo remix and Bend Over hits.
