Is Weza developing a soft spot for Luclay?

Every season, there comes a time when the only interesting thing happening in the Big Brother house is the evictions.

Once the euphoria of the first few weeks has worn off, the housemates get increasingly complacent and stop trying to out do each other for attention. The show has reached that stage. When the hottest news coming out of the house is hourly updates of the housemates’ task, you know things are really slowing down.

It is often the romances that keep the house entertaining but since this year everyone that gets into a romance gets the chop, I’m thinking people will keep away from that sinking ship. Case in point is Alex from Ghana.

I don’t think I am the only one who finds Alex very weird. He has a lot going for him but for some reason, he is one of those housemates you sometimes forget is still in the house. In recent weeks he has come out of his shell a little, mainly because Miss P has hardly left his side. They have been carrying on some sort of affair, which seems to be one-sided.

They spend nights in the same bed, Saturday night parties always end in the jacuzzi for the pair and Miss P has told the other girls how she feels about her man. But Alex is as ever, cool and collected. He told Big Brother that Miss P likes him more than he likes her.

Miss P has done some questionable things to get Alex to notice her. They got into a wrestling match one night in his bed because Miss P was looking for more than a sleep buddy. As she increasingly becomes attached, Alex pulls even further away. Is he afraid that he will follow Ernest and Nic out of the door?

Yes, Nic was evicted last Sunday putting an end to the NiKim romance. Although Kim played coy for weeks, she was not hesitant to show that she would miss Nic after he was evicted. She cried and the lovebirds kissed before he exited. A little too late for regrets but Kim has said she hopes they can continue the relationship outside the show.

Ever since Weza entered the Tails house, she has turned Luclay’s life upside down, making him even more of an emotional wreck than before. I’ve lost count of the number of times he has burst into tears for no reason.

He declared his feelings, telling Weza he was completely smitten with her. The poor girl stared at him in amazement and told him to grow up because he has a girlfriend back home and she is not interested. Luclay cried some more, went into the diary room and cried a little more for Big Brother.

Whether it’s the tears or the long talks they’ve been having, Weza is starting to develop a soft spot for ‘Lucry’. They’ve been spending evenings cuddled up on the sofa for hours. I think the tears are working for Luclay. Having survived eviction last week, he got the boost to his ego that he so badly needed. I don’t think we are yet to see the end of Luclay, but whether Weza will give in to his emotional blackmail, remains to be seen.
