DOREEN Byamukama, the wife of Dr. Aggrey Byamukama, one of the suspects held over the death of renegade Col. Edson Muzoora, has complained that security officials have continued to deny her access to her husband.

Doreen told New Vision yesterday: “I have gone to all military offices tracing for my husband since his arrest, but security officials have refused to tell me where he is being detained.”

Byamukama, the director of Byamaka Pharmaceuticals in Mbarara, was arrested on June 16 alongside William Mukaira, the Bushenyi FDC chairman.

They are to help with investigations into how Muzoora, who was thought to be in exile, died and his body mysteriously dumped at his country home in Bushenyi.

Security agents are investing allegations that Muzoora, had sneaked into the country in February, was attended to by three doctors and died in a house in Bushenyi in late May.

Army spokesman Lt. Col.Felix Kulaigye could not be reached for comment because he was at a function.

Edward Ochom, the director of criminal investigations department, said he would comment today after cross-checking the allegations.

Internal affairs minister, Hillary Onek recently told the media that the suspects would be charged with murdering Muzoora when investigations are complete.
