Boda bodas a nuisance

EDITOR: In the past few years, there has been a significant increase in the number of boda bodas on our roads. Young men, many without permits, are happy to earn a living from these motor cycles but frequently flout traffic rules.

They have been responsible for countless accidents on the roads and have generally increased congestion on our crowded roads and junctions. The training they get, if any, is suspect. It is clear that traffic police officers cannot regulate them even if they they may want to.

The number of bodabodas must be controlled and so must the behaviour of the riders. They are a great nuisance in the city.
