IT was a cool evening at Serena Hotel, when the first family and friends gathered to witness the First Lady Janet Kataaha Museveni launch her autobiography, My Life’s Journey.

The book cannot be divorced from her husband’s political journey and the trials and tribulations she went through in the process.

The ceremony included high profile guests, like the Vice- President Edward Ssekandi, Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi, his predecessor Apolo Nsibambi, Deputy Prime Minister Eriya Kategaya, Janet’s former neighbour of (whom she peaks of fondly in her book) while in exile and is now a minister, Henry Okello Oryem, Makerere University Vice-Chancellor Venansius Baryamureeba. The guest list was endless.

Fountain Publishers’ MD, James Tumusiime said of the book: “This book redeems first ladies’ image and shows that they have already changed their images to work with their husbands to change the world into a better place.”
