Children deserve lunch

The Air Force Commander in the Uganda People’s Defense Forces, Maj. General Jim Oyesigire, has urged parents in Kabale district to pack lunch for school going children if they are to perform better in Primary Leaving Examination.

Maj. Gen Oyesigire said that the reason why Kigezi produced the best brains in Uganda in the past years is because of the effort by parents in feeding their children on nutritious food.

"There is no need to debate about the about feeding school going children as it has been proved that hungry children cannot go far in academic world and other extra-curriculum activities," Oyesigire said.

Oyesigire was on Saturday the chief guest at the Sports Day for Bubare Primary and Secondary School in Bubare Sub County in Kabale district.
