Muwanga is not a captain but a lieutenant. He was charged in court for mascarading as a captain. He was found guilty and sentenced to imprisonment. After serving the sentence, he was dismissed from the UPDF.
The UPDF has been dismayed by reference to David Muwanga as a captain.
