Make it a point to call her

WE all know the importance of keeping promises. Well, for the female mind, whatever you say may automatically translate into a promise which will be remembered.

Every time you promise to do something, for example, call her, she will expect you to keep your word.

“Guys tend to take things lightly,” Jane says. “He says he will call you, but doesn’t specify when. He may be thinking of calling the next day or next week, yet I expect him to call me immediately.”

There are no set rules of how soon you should call a lady after a first date. Some prefer it immediately, others the following day or after three days while some will even tell you not to bother calling them. The truth is, after a date, a lady is anxiously waiting for you to call her.

If you take long, she ponders on whether to call first. She wants to know every detail about how you felt about the date. The longer you take to call, the more she will think you are not interested in her.

This is not complicating things. It is simply a glimpse of how just one statement is computed in the female mind. It is even worse if you are in a committed relationship.

Yes, she expects you to call immediately after you say: “Let me call you back.” She probably knows you are busy and would have loved to call her, but do not be surprised if it is brought up during the next tiff.

This is the deal; if it is after a first date, have the decency to call back, stop counting days, whether you liked her or not. And if you are committed, be ready with an elaborate apology or make up for it with a cute text message if you forget to call.
