A planned meeting called by Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago with Uganda Taxi Operators and Drivers Association (UTODA) officials has flopped.

The Mayor was on Wednesday summoned to Parliament at the time the meeting was scheduled to take place.

UTODA boss Musa Katongole has turned up at city hall with his officials only to be told that the mayor was next door at Parliament.

The meeting had been arranged sort out the pending issues in UTODA following a recent strike of drivers over welfare fees.
