Kiwoko boys survive jail
Eighton and Rain of the duo Money Makers popularly known as Kiwoko Boys recently narrowly survived being thrown in jail after they failed to honour a commitment to perform in Southern Sudan, yet the promoter had paid them. The furious promoter took the matter up with the Police, but the boys pleaded and were let off the hook. Apparently, the boys agreed with one James Warran Atuku, a promoter in Sudan, that on August 6, they would perform at Kajokeji Hotel in Southern Sudan. They, however, never showed up, but with good reason. The story goes that they had agreed with the promoter that he would fly them to Sudan, but the promoter told them that they were to use a bus at the last minute, . They said that was not part the deal and bailed out on him. Hmm.

Mayinja compensates O.S over concert date
Recently, we informed you of how singer O.S (Omulangira Ssuna) had opted to postpone his Love Yo concert from July 29 because ‘bigger’ singer Ronald Mayinja had come up later to hold his Olina Kola album launch on the same date. Now, with Mayinja’s concert successfully out of the way, O.S has scheduled his concert for the third week of next month. And his decision to leave his previously chosen date to Mayinja is set to pay off. Although O.S would be no match for Mayinja, we have caught word that he (Mayinja) was so humbled by O.S’s decision that he resolved to throw his weight behind OS’s concert. Mayinja will also bring the majority of Eagles Production members to perform for free at the event.

Kamoga secures private meeting with Kabaka
We ran a story on these pages recently about how much shaking the hands of the Kabaka of Buganda, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi, excited youthful city businessman Muhamadi Kamoga. Apparently, Kamoga used this opportunity to secure a private meeting with the Kabaka and this time around, he knelt down as is the norm in Buganda culture. Kamoga is the proprietor Kamoga Property Consultants and Kamoga Electricals. Land is a sensitive issue in Buganda. Snoops say Kamoga hurriedly briefed the Kabaka about his projects and plans in the 10-minute meeting. The Kabaka seemed impressed with the 29-year-old’s investments as he was seen nodding his head and smiling endlessly as the two shook hands. We are not privy to what they discussed, but snoops believe the youngster might have been asking for a lease on some of the Kabaka’s land. Hmmm.

Money lenders attach Dr. Propa’s car
He has been off these pages for some time, but trust singer Dr. Propa to always find his way back! The latest we have heard is that his Toyota Regius car registration number UAP 370W was attached by the money lenders who gave him money to hold his album launch last month. Apparently, the singer registered losses and he could not pay back the money, which had grown to sh12m. Dr. Propa said he would begin afresh. He now uses boda bodas for transport despite the fact that he suffers from Asthma, a disease which is not friendly with too much wind. Meanwhile, the singer welcomed his third child (a girl) on Sunday.

Load-shedding delays Coco Finger’s songs
Wondering why singer Coco Finger has not outed anything new sing his party rocker Party Animal? Blame it on load-shedding. Yes. The dancehall star claims he has had his studio recording sessions interrupted by power cuts ever since load-shedding returned to the country some weeks ago! Our sources inform us that over the last one month, the feisty singer has been trying to make final touches on about four songs that he has badly wanted to drop onto the market in pairs. But apparently, most of the times he has gone to Fenon Studios, he has found the studio without power. And, allegedly, the studio has no generator! Really?

Bobi’s invitation meant to provoke me – Bebe Cool
Singer Bebe Cool has described Bobi Wine’s act of inviting him to his wedding as provocative. Bebe says Bobi knows that they are not good friends and that on the same day, he will not be in the country. Apparently, the Kasepiki singer will be performing at the UK Uganda convention alongside Zuena, Bella and Mesach Semakula. “We are not friends, and secondly, I will not be in the country and Bobi knows this very well. So, he is inviting me for his wedding to provoke me to say something nasty. He wants to make headlines out of the whole thing,” said Bebe.
Meanwhile, a source close to Bobi Wine said that some unscrupulous people were selling bogus invitation cards.
“These cards are fake. Bobi’s invitation cards are not for sale. If anyone out there bought one, they should not bother coming to the wedding,” Bobi said.
Next Saturday, Bobi Wine will walk down the aisle with his long-time fiancée Barbara Itungo at Rubaga Cathedral. The couple will later host their guests at Serena Hotel, Kampala.
