Wavamunno is new Nkumba chancellor

PROF. Gordon Wavamunno has been appointed the new chancellor of Nkumba University.
Wavamunno, who is also the Honorary Consul of Hungary to Uganda and the chairman of Spear Group of Companies, was appointed by the Nkumba University board of trustees recently.
The new chancellor’s functions will include presiding over ceremonial assemblies of the university, confering degrees and awarding diplomas, certificates and other academic titles and distinctions of the university.
Wavamunno, who is replacing Maggie Kigozi, is also charged with promoting the image and development of the university both locally and internationally.
