Ten-man medical team to handle Kumi Siamese twins

Mulago Hospital has assembled a team of ten medical experts to handle the Siamese twins recently born in Kumi district, the hospital’s spokesperson Dan Kimosho has said.

KAMPALA - Mulago Hospital has assembled a team of ten medical experts to handle the Siamese twins recently born in Kumi district, the hospital’s spokesperson Dan Kimosho has said.

The twins were born were born last week at Kumi Hospital.

Speaking in an interview with Xfm, Kimosho says the medics team is led by the hospital’s Deputy Executive Director, Doreen Male. 

The female twins aged seven months, are joined at the chest and abdomen up to umbilical cord. 

Kimosho says that the babies will be transferred from the Special Care Unit to Private wing on 6A, when they have clocked nine months of age.
