The national football governing body FUFA said yesterday that tickets for Cranes’ do-or-die Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Kenya will largely be sold in Kampala.

Jinja town is the only upcountry location where fans will access the tickets. The tickets will be sold at the town’s Kobil Petrol Station.

FUFA publicist Rogers Mulindwa (inset) said that a total of 26 outlets are earmarked for the selling of match tickets.

The tickets will go on sale from October 3, ahead of the match at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole on October 8.

But no one will be allowed to buy the tickets in bulk.

The decision was taken to deter individuals who would like to cash in and hike the prices especially on the match day.

The trend has persisted during key matches in the past. This decision is likely to trigger off massive forgeries of tickets but FUFA warned the public to be vigilant and also watch out for the culprits.

The open stand tickets will cost sh20,000 and the VIP tickets are at sh50,000.

Meanwhile, Kenya’s midfielder Titus Mulama and striker Mike Baraza have been hit by injuries, reports Norman Katende and Dennis Mabuka.

Reports from Nairobi indicate that the players sustained injuries during a training session yesterday.
