FORGET about wearing trench coats on a rainy day or chilly evenings. Trench coats are trendy, formal and can be worn casually.

They are not limited to age or size. In fact, the wardrobe detectives will tell you this sophisticated wear has stood the test of time.

Today’s trench coats come in various colours as opposed to the common khaki. These feminine hues such as red, purple, peach and pink can be sexy if you know how to accessorise them.

Trench coats are really flattering. They come in different lengths, long, cropped or knee-length.

When paired with skinny jeans and boots or high-heeled pumps along with a big bag, knee-length trench coats cast a chic look. Add killer heels and you will look taller and sexier. But if you are small, trench coats that fall past your knees will make you look shorter.

You can don a trenchcoat with a sexy sheath or knee-length sweater dress, fuller dress, or a pencil skirt with a dressy blouse. The contrasting textures will look great together.

But choose a feminine and belted one that covers the hem of the dress or extends past a few inches for a stream-lined look.

And did you know knee-length trench coats can be worn as dresses? Go glam and create an edgy style with trenches.
