KENYA coach Zedekiah “Zico” Otieno is a man under siege as he prepares to face Uganda Cranes in the Nations Cup qualifier in Kampala on October 8.

Otieno was on Saturday held hostage for close to three hours by irate Gor Mahia fans, who were demanding for his resignation following the team’s 2-2 draw against Kenya Commercial Bank in a top flight league game at Nyayo Stadium.

It was the second time Gor Mahia fans were baying for his blood. Last weekend, Otieno needed police escort after Gor Mahia were beaten 2-1 by Congo United.

After escaping unscathed from the furious fans, Otieno insisted he was the best coach to propel Kenya to the 2012 Nations Cup finals.
