Zari eulogies Ssemwanga on his 3rd death anniversary

"You still the G.O.A.T even after 3 years of your passing. The game has never been the same since you left, December's are no longer the same, obubalaza here in SA ain't the same, pop bottle games not the same, your giving heart was never matched," Zari Hassan posted on her FaceBook page in memory of her ex-husband Ivan Ssemwanga.

The Ugandan socialite based in South Africa added "You were the 'UN office for all'. Everyone else is just clowning or chasing clout. Your shoes are too big to fit/fill. Continue resting in peace champ, 3 years already but it seems like yesterday. We love you and miss you always #TheDon."

Ssemwanga died on May 25, 2017, marking three years since he passed on.

The spendthrift socialite had spent weeks admitted at Steve Biko Hospital in Pretoria, where his ex-wife, Zari took care of him.

According to Zari, the mother of Ssemwanga's three boys, he passed on in the wee hours and she confirmed this on her Facebook page.

In a touching post hours after his death, she wrote, "God loves those that are special and that's exactly who you were & I guess that's why he wanted you to himself. You have touched and helped thousands, you did wonders and I remember you telling me "life is too short Zee let me live it to the fullest".

Pictures of Semwanga, in a critical condition after reportedly going into cardiac arrest had been making rounds for weeks.

The body of the deceased was brought back to Uganda on May 28, 2017 and a vigil was held at his home in Muyenga, that night.

Semwanga 's body was then taken to Namirembe Cathedral on May 29, 2017 for the funeral service before he was taken to Kayunga for the burial.

He was buried on May 30,  2017, at his ancestral home in Kayunga, in attendance of different celebrities and locals.

Days after Semwanga 's burial, rumours started circulating that he had faked his death and he was in South Africa enjoying life.

In an exclusive interview, Zari disclosed how Semwanga 's dead body was checked out of Entebbe International Airport through South Africa Airways using a fake name and a fake death certificate, Ali Sennyomo.
