NOTICE OF EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) FOR PROVISION OF CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR A NATIONAL STUDY ON INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY (ICT)
The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) as mandated by the UCC Act 2013 manages the Rural Communications Development Fund (RCDF) Through its RCDF, the Commission has allocated funds to be used for acquiring consultancy services to carry out a National Study on the level of ICT Adoption by Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in Uganda. The Commission now invites eligible consultancy firms to submit sealed expressions of interest for consultancy services for carrying out a national study on the level of ICT Adoption by Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in Uganda.
The overall objective of this consultancy is to establish the extent of ICT adoption, including those associated with the 4th Industrial Revolution by MSMEs in Uganda. This objective extends among others to evaluating the level of access and usage of ICTs, establishing factors promoting and those limiting ICT, investigating the existence of initiatives for supporting the use of ICTs, the relationship between investment in ICTs and business growth within MSMEs, and developing recommendations allied to the best way in which ICTs can enhance performance of MSMEs in Uganda.
